☪Pack Roles☪

Pack Leader
Ensures the pack's well-being and safety. If a situation calls for it they can change rules to better suit everyone's needs; their decision is final. This leadership position is often passed from parent to child, however can be challenged for if the challenger has support from the majority of the pack.

Secondary
As an informal role it does not have a set name, but is usually referred to as 'Beta' amongst the pack wolves. A wolf in this position will almost always be the pack Leader's mate, though can sometimes be their closest friend. This wolf's duty is to support their leader and help enforce rules while punishing those who break them. This role is not always in use and is often vacant during leadership changes up to a year or more.

Shaman
The healer of the pack and one most connected to the deities. Like the pack Leader this position is given from parent to child, as a Shaman's 'sight' is passed down through their bloodline. These wolves are the only ones who are able to communicate with those beyond the earthly realm, thus they are highly revered and often advisers to both the Leader and Secondary.

Hunters and below
Average wolves, these are the ones who make up the majority of the pack. Those who do not hunt will watch after the pups while their parents are away. If the wolf is an elder, they pass down their wisdom through stories told to the young pups.

Last Names
Within the pack of wanderers last names are reserved for those who, in the eyes of these wolves, have done the greatest of deeds in honor of their pack.
Only the leader may bestow a wolf with a last name, and only one offspring per generation may take on this name if they survive until adulthood.
While a last name is the greatest honor a regular pack member can receive, it may also become a burden for their decedents; as anyone with this name is fully expected to go above and beyond for the pack.


Pack Bio
The Midnight Wanderers are a nocturnal and nomadic pack. Spending their days sleeping beneath whatever shelter they can find, and traveling at night under the moon's embrace. While Sole, God of the Sun, is well known to the wolves, it is The Moon Goddess they worship and pray to.
Oftentimes, when the moon is full and the night sky bright, wolves claim that they can see a face in the moon. One of a gentle and aged she-wolf. Her pelt so white it rivals freshly fallen snow, and eyes so blue some say they can see the depths of the ocean in them. At times such as these the wandering pack will howl long into the night and celebrate all things brought to life under the moon's light.
If a pup is born during a full moon such as this, it can be said that the young wolf is given Asra's Blessing; so long as that wolf continues to live by Her teachings.
