Sundown Woodlands
PACK BIO
Settled deep in the woodlands, this pack is rather elusive and rare to be seen in entirety. Currently led by Bhavna, the pack is on it's first generation of Leader. Bhavna is generally a fair Leader, treating all of the pack as family and making sure everyone is fed before she ever eats from the food stash.
The Sundown Woodlands Pack lives by the rule that the Leader title only passes down through blood, and that the strongest Scout (based on stats) is second in command. All pups are to be cherished and protected until they reach apprentice age. All ranks except Leader and Herbalist may take on as many apprentices as they need, the Leader and Herbalist may only take on one apprentice each. In the case that an apprentice is not suited, the juvenile will be given the option to become a Pupsitter or leave as a dispersal wolf. The apprentice of the Leader must be of one year in age and have trained under another rank before learning to become a Leader. Any wolf six years or older is authorized to leave their position and retire to the elders den, though must have a wolf prepared to fill their position. Elders may be moved to the pupsitter den in the absence of young pupsitters, before any other rank gives up their position to protect the progeny.
LORE
The Sundown Woodlands Pack believes in several deities. The first and most respected as the forest's spirit and protector is a large wolf referred to as Faola, it is believed that they can shift into the form of any fur-beast. Often under the disguise as a white bear, going under the name Artionis. Elders and loners often rumor that Faola and Artionis are two separate spirits.
The other commonly recognized deity is that of a male wolf named Kovath who sprouted goat horns and grew to the size of a buffalo after being cursed as a pup. He is seen as a spirit of hunting and war, often linked to death itself. Though it is believed by some that Kovath is immortal, he may still die by a wolf who is unaffected by his unseen weapon of the mind. Wolves who challenge him may drop dead after an agonizing headache, later discovered that their brain had been physically destroyed despite not showing a wound on the outside.
NOTES
Any wolf in the To-be Dispersal den is looking for a new home and may be chased or enclaved, if not sold.
