The distant winds howl.

"Wren? Who's this?" Azure eyes gleam in your direction. Soft steps crunch leaves as a wolf approaches.
"Phyre! Come. We must show around our new guest!" The soot colored wolf greets, pressing his nose to her fur. His gaze returns to you.

‎Now many full moons ago, chaos once was amidst the peaceful taiga many packs call home. On the night the wind fell still, the once friendly alpha of a small, yet powerful pack was stirring. For moons there was unrest, though tonight it was different. The alpha emerged when the moon hit its peak, the air dry and humid. His eyes were glossed over as he approached the only wolf in the clearing. A lone hunter. She mostly spent her free time in the moon. He knew this. They were close friends, after all. But those memories, that connection, on this night it did not linger. The approach was quick, and luckily, so was the fight. Though no one was awake to witness how it began, the snarls and clamor as the wolves clash quickly brought the camp alight.
‎It's not sure what happened to the alpha. Some prefer to say he escaped the encounter, others like the comforting thought of a threat dead. Despite this, under the protection of Phyre and Wren, the wolves once under his rule have been able to feel safe again. The Erstwhile has grown plentifully and gained many members.
