Pups watch over us, they preserve our family lines. They make sure Elk is plentiful- that prey feeds us until our bellies are full. Though they have now passed on, they live on in our hearts- in the heart of this great mother earth. They calm our fears through the whispering of wind- we hear their yips and whines. They guide us in our choices- the eyes of a child see things for what they really are. They give us love- being either strong or gentle. Our hearts beat in tune with our fallen offspring.
