Soquili-Aniwaya
Welcome to the domain of Soquili-Aniwaya. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Here there be horses.
These plains are vast, and it seems as though you can see for miles. The prairie grass is cool and soft, and the wind carries the scents of wild horse herds, small critters, and even deer. The rising foothills in the distance also offer shelter from the weather when it turns sour. It's mild and full of prey here; a perfect place for a wolf pack to thrive.
A violet-furred head pops up out of the long grass several yards away, ears pricked in interest. From the sweet smell you can tell it's a female. She bounds over to you, easily covering the distance between you in just a few long-legged strides like a carnivorous deer.
"Hello there, I'm Tsoine! Who are you?"
She's very close, and you're almost nose to nose. Her vivid azure eyes are intense and maybe...a bit too intent upon you? She's certainly friendly, but there's something sharp under the surface. You notice she's thrown her chest out and stretched herself as tall as she can, and her bushy tail is upright. Despite this, she's still smaller than you but it doesn't seem to phase her.
"You're welcome in my home, provided you mind yourself. Agreed?"
An easy agreement to make, as you are simply curious and wish to explore. Tsoine wags her tail happily and her tongue lolls, and then she's darting away.
You're left hurrying after her as other wolves make their presence known, barks and howls filling your ears as they welcome you. There are a variety of faces, all content, and a few young pups sit close to what you presume are their mothers. In front of you, Tsoine trots happily up to a black and dark blue furred male and they briefly touch noses, tails wagging. The male looks at you curiously and Tsoine is radiating pride.
"This is Asuwisdi, my closest friend and mate. The wolves among us are of the Soquili-Aniwaya. We make our home here in the prairie, and we are a small but proud lot. We take inspiration from the Tsalagi language, hence our names." Almost as if she can read your mind, she tilts her head in amusement and says, "It means horse-wolf clan. The wild herds are numerous here, and provide us with food. We thought it only fitting to honor them in this way.
"But come, I won't bore you with our origins unless you truly want to hear them. Sit with us and rest for a while before you move on."
