My wolves believe to be born with a Soul Bird. Soul Birds are with their wolf from birth to death. The wolf's bird has the same color eye as their wolf partner. When the wolf dies, the bird weaves one of their feathers into the wolf's mane. If the bird dies first, the wolf will take the biggest feather off it's wing and weave it into their mane. If a wolf dies and does not have their feather weaved into their mane in time, it is believed that their spirit is cursed to walk the Earth alone. If they receive the feather in time, they fly up to join The Great Wolves of the Sky, Sun, Moon, Storm, Yin, and Yang. In extremely rare situations, if both bird and wolf die within the same minute, they fuse into one. The wolf gains wings from their Soul Bird and come back to life. They are considered immortal due to an unknown way of how to kill them.
