The Skid Hill Pack migrated to the Desert in order to settle down and work out new rules. They found an abandoned stable where they sleep. The hierarchy decides of one's name. The lower you are, the more elements it has. Only those related to the royal pair can have a short name. The alpha's heir will be named after her. The herbalist, the strongest hunter and the breeding male belong to the pack's elite. The rest do not, but despite this fact they are treated with respect - they provide food and safety. Often, the workers take a second proffesion - they become moms, traders, fortune tellers or even diplomates.

If a member wants to left the pack, they can. But if someone tries to hurt the pack, they will be cursed and chased until the end of  their days. Not by Ramona, but by karma in which they all believe. During full moon they stay on a watch all night to reflect on their actions, so the bad karma won't reach them. But sometimes they cannot see that trying too hard can backfire...
