In the beginning there was only Shadow-foot, his mate Alpine-fur, and 8 others. The others with him were Snow-tail, Yellow-fur, Bramble-pelt, Mud-claw, White-foot, Frost-pelt, Ash-pelt and Soot-claw. They had all left their packs to journey out past their territories, and decided to travel together. Shadow-foot was appointed leader, and was given the suffix star. After some time traveling they decided to settle in the forest. Alpine-fur and Shadow-star had their first litter, Chestnut-pelt, and Smoke-berry a couple seasons after.
