Deep in the ancient woodland lives a strange group of wolves. Some say they all have coats black as pitch, eyes blue like deep water, and commune with spirits. While not completely wrong, Nox Avibus isn't made of monsters. They are a solitary group that shuns other packs and devotes their lives to the great Nox, guardian of the night.

Background | Once upon a time, a pup living in the forest had a dream. He was walking alone through a field with only the moon to guide him. Each pawstep stirred the shadows underneath his small paws until they became a giant bird with feathers black as pitch. It called the little pup to its side and whispered secrets of the world, giving him supernatural powers. Now grown, Sparrow devoted his life to Nox and its message.

Disposition | This pack is solitary, preferring to stay within the safety of their forest. Above all else is pack loyalty, as to turn your back on the pack is to turn your back on Nox. Those who stray from the night will not see the light of day. The few outsiders brave enough to make the journey will find a generally friendly group. All are accepted into their ranks, granted they follow the teachings of Nox.

Beliefs | Sparrow's blue eyes represent The Sight, the ability to see and speak to spirits bestowed on him by Nox itself. Pups with this eye color are favored, as it represents the potential to inherit the gift. Unless they prove themselves extraordinary, those without the gift will be chased out when they are adults. Also, only blue-eyed progeny may compete for the title of heir.
