You run through the snow lost in the freezing blizzard,as your hope dwindles you hear the sound of a howling wolf.Turning you run towards the sound and suddenly your free falling through the freezing air.You drop into a pile of snow that seemed to catch you like a cloud,There are walls all around you.The outline of a wolf steps into view standing on the wall and looking down at you."hello?" you call up wary of the snow covered wolf,"hello,if you wish to survive I'd recommend listening closely" they said lowering their body "stay still" they said grabbing you by the neck fur and pulling you up.Now that your next to them you see its a she wolf with black, grey and white fur.The she wolf nods in some direction and leads you into the snow seeming to know exactly where to go.(TBC)
pack lore:In the snowy mountains a pack of wolves roam.Very few see the pack as their as secretive as the mountain lions and as quick as a falcon.The pack is very close to the Night sky and the birds that fly through the mountains some more than others.The pack was founded by a wolf named dark ghost,creating a royal lineage,with the help of the birds high in the sky they track and kill their prey sharing with the birds who help,scouts typically bond with fast birds like falcons while herbalists typically bond with bigger birds that arnt very loud such as owls.hunters tend to bond with birds such as hawks and ravens though in some cases smaller birds such as a sparrow or blue jay.Pup sitters rarely bond at all with the birds due to few birds being able to tolerate pups but in some cases a swan or duck of some sort enjoys it.The leader of the pack bonds with one of the few large eagles that fly high screeching out a call though some do prefer smaller birds such as falcons or a friendly raven or crow.Dark Ghost bonded with a large female eagle that was named fallen flame because when she dove it looked like a ball of flame falling towards you.The packs connection to the night sky and the stars and moon is sacred and very rarely openly spoken of though if you manage to gain the packs trust you might just experience one of the many dark sky ceremonies.The pack has 3 main ceremonies,the ceremony of dark,The ceremony of moon, and the ceremony of wings.The ceremony of dark is for when a new king or queen is to be chosen,the new king/queen bows to the past king/queen and makes an oath before traveling to the star peaks to complete the ceremony.The ceremony of moon is for when they come to the top of the mountain and howl to the stars and moon,it only happens during a full moon and is one of the most sacred things the pack does.The ceremony of the wings if for when a wolf wether just a pack member or the king or queen is to bond with a bird,they stand on the largest rock in a clearing atop the lower peak of the mountain and howl a call and if a bird responds and comes to them they are bonded for life as companions.
The pack believes in spirits and ghosts along with 3 gods.The Goddess of the dead Erudaria often referred to as Erudar.The God of life Vitalis or Vita,and finally the goddess of moon and sky Arcaniara.Each God is said to have come down from the skies and shifted into a wolf form watching closely.Erudaria guides the lost spirits to a safe haven her fur seeming to flicker with a glowing light her eyes as white as the snow she often calls upon some spirits to be her eyes their own shifting to a bright white.Vitalis,he is said to bless those born to the pack preventing them from harm and those who pass are said to have been denied his protection.Arcaniara,the strongest of the three stands high on the mountains gazing down at the pack and protecting them from harm,it is said she shifts into a mighty dragon when danger threatens the pack never being seen but whispers of her words drift through the peaks.
