Roaming Spirits

While you are walking you come upon a forest, when you step inside it is like the sun has disappeared and the moon has taken its place. Strange. You cautiously decide to explore further and as you again start walking you see a flash of red illuminated for just a moment in front of you, you freeze sniffing the air. You can't seem to pick out any strange scents and yet- There it was again. Your eyes focus on a spot to your left where you saw the flash again. As you strain your eyes to try and pick out whatever it is you hear heavy footfalls behind you, slowly you turn around. A giant wolf with red streaks along his fur has appeared, he must be what you saw. Behind him, hidden in the trees you can make out a pair of green eyes, and then suddenly, much lower to the ground two more sets of eyes. The wolf speaks,
"Welcome to our forest. I am Axel and this my mate Aura and our pups, Blot and Blitz" With his words a she-wolf steps out of the shadows, much smaller than Axel and she has pink streaks in her fur. She is followed closely by two pups, one completely bac and the other with white streaks in her fur. How curious. "If you come in peace you may stay awhile, look around even join us for a time if you wish. Many choose to roam these forests with us for a time as they raise small pups. You are welcome to do the same. Or to meet with them, some are willing to let other packs adapt their pups." You find this a bit strange but, intriguing, perhaps you will stay awhile. Having some fresh bloodlines enter your pack couldn't hurt.
"But," Axel spoke again, his voice and eyes hard now, "If you do not come in peace. I suggest you turn around and leave now before I make you leave." As he speaks you notice a pair of eyes emerge to his right, and then another to his left. And by the end of his sentence, there are many more wolves that you can see and you understand his message. Axel relaxes again, a smile on his face as he continues in a relaxed, content tone. "But that's up to you!" and the other wolves disappear from your sight.
Axel's mate Aura pushes past him and walks past you, turns around, and rubs against your side and whispers in your ear, "Don't mind him he's very protective of our family" and then at a normal volume, "Stay awhile, have a meal. Share your stories traveler, we would love to hear them"
