It was the spring of the year when Caraniel chose to set out on her adventure. she was young, and because of that, she felt invincible. She felt as if she could soar over the mountains and see what lands rolled out beyond them in a day. Despite the opposing opinions of her elders, she chose to set out that very morning.
Three months later, she found herself looking back and cursing herself bitterly. So much had happened in the short time since she had left. Two weeks into her journey, she finally scaled the mountains that stood as watchful sentinels over the edge of the homeland. If that seemed hard, Caraniel could not even begin to imagine what would follow.
Through a series of unfortunate events, Caraniel found herself betrayed, injured, and left to shiver in the unyielding rains and sleets of this foreign land. That is when she met Luin.
All of her instincts screamed for her to rid herself of the annoying, yet charming silver-blue wolf. It seemed as if he came to offer her something she desperately needed every day. Surely he was only trying to lure her into some sort of trap, only to leave her in worse shape than she was now.
Eventually, Caraniel became so sick that she new Luin would be her only chance at survival. She followed him back to his pack's camp in a feverish daze. Slowly, under the watchful eye of Callie, the pack herbalist, Caraniel began to recover and regain some of her much-needed strength. Luin came to visit her every day, and as they talked for hours each night, Caraniel began to feel a sort of affection for the young wolf.
The time came when Caraniel was fully healed, and she faced the choice of returning to her home, or staying with Green Wood Pack-- with Luin. That day seemed too painful to bear. Luin pleaded with her to stay with him as they stood together at the edge of his territory. He even offered to move his entire pack into the mountains-- or even beyond the mountains--if it would please her. It was then that Caraniel discovered where her heart lived.
She chose to stay.
And it was not long after that she started her new life as Luna of the Green Wood Pack, and as Luin's beloved mate.
