Green Wood Pack

Welcome!

You finally stop to rest your weary, aching paws after you pushed your way through the underbrush, revealing a small moonlit clearing. The gurgling and rushing of a nearby creek reaches your ears as you sit down.

After a period of silence you sniff, taking in all the scents of the forest. A wolf-scent, drawing ever nearer, finally captures your attention.

It is not long before the wolf belonging to the scent appears, moving so quietly and gracefully that the underbrush he pushed through barely shows any sign of disturbance. 

His silvery-blue pelt ripples as he pads toward you.

You bristle, taking a few steps back and showing this stranger your fangs.

He seems to pay no attention to your hostility as he slowly settles down in front of you.

"Greetings, fair wanderer. I am Luin."

Despite your instincts telling you otherwise, you relax and feel your wariness start to melt away at the sound of his charming voice. It was almost musical.

"You must be tired. Follow me. I can offer you shelter for the night--we always have room for wanderers like yourself."

He turned as if he were going to leave, but then continued. 

"Do not worry; you are free to take your leave any time. But if you so wish, you can prove your worth to me. In time, you may have a chance at becoming part of my pack. Until you choose one of the branches of your path, follow me."

He slid into the underbrush without a glance over his shoulder. After a moment's hesitation, you plunge into the darkness after him.

It is not long before you reach a clearing surrounded by Great Oaks. Wolf-scent hangs heavily in the air, and you can just make out the gentle murmurs of wolves deep in conversation. The occasional squeak of a pup rings out from the shadows across the clearing.

You glance at the silver wolf beside you as you take in your surroundings.

His murmur is barely audible to you as he bows his head and slips away.

"Welcome to Green Wood Pack."
