Pollux was always loyal to Eclipse and his pack, from the moment he joined, and steadily grew a reputation in the pack of a wolf that most could rely on and trust to have their back, even if they didn't know him that well. He was selected to be pair-bonded with Nightshade, and grew to love her deeply. He knew she didn't love him in return but it didn't make a difference to him, and he continued to remain loyal and caring towards her despite her being bitter towards him and most other packmates.
