From the moment Nightshade entered the pack she was dubbed as the future herbalist, and she didn't complain much, always having had an affinity for plants, especially the more poisonous ones for which she was named, and rather, she had a problem with the one who the pack wanted her to bond with, Pollux. She found him sweet, charming even, but he was too much of a pushover for her taste, and she craved power, and a higher status in the pack, neither of which Pollux could provide for her. Instead, she fell in love with Deneb, though he did not return her feelings, leaving her heartbroken and bitter. She hides her hatred towards most of the pride with false kindness and daydreams about taking over the pack one day, though truthfully she doubts she will ever be strong enough to do so.
