One of Alp and Shale's children. She bears the least resemblance to her parents, which makes her stand out among her siblings, and reflects her status as a loner. Char does not get along easily with other pups, and often keeps to herself. She's fairly quiet and rather aloof, even to her brothers and sister. However, she doesn't let others to kick her around, including her brother, Bark, and she can bite back when pushed too far.
Char was determined to become a scout, regardless of what her what her parents of whar her parents thought. She would accept training from Steam, and form somewhat of a rivalry with Fog.
While scouting out the tundra, she followed a set of footprints which lead her to finding North, Robin, and Cub. They told her that they had spent the last months trying to find the glacier. Though Char was prepared to go back to territory, North convinced her to stay with them. Once they had found the glacier, Char would then take charge in training Soil, while North would scout the Riparian Woods to gain enough knowledge to scout the glacier.
The rest of Rime would soon reach the tundra, and Char would be returned to them. However, she was devastated when she learned of her father's passing, and her grief was even greater than that of her siblings, as it meant she would never see him again. Still, she would devote herself to becoming a loyal scout on behalf Polar, and getting closer to North.
Despite her desire to tie the knot with North, he was seemed simply too busy with his training to even think about her. Yet, after years and months would pass, North would finally finish his training and seek to uncover the glacier. This time, however, it was Char who would end up coming forward to accompany him on his quest. The two were officially mates now, and thus they would remain together. Where one would lead, the other would follow.
Char would unexpectedly give birth to North's pups while they were still on their journey. Only time will tell if the pups will survive the deadly cold of the north, as both Char and North struggle to keep their new pups warm and fed under these harsh conditions.
