Biography
One of Dawn's children, who was fathered by an outsider.
Due to his parentage, Dawn had to raise him and his sister, Soil, without the help of the pupsitters. However, she was neglectful towards them, despite being confident about raising them herself. As a result, Bone leans on his sister, Soil. Bone and Soil have learned their survival techniques instead by observing the other wolves, particularly Quinoa.
Finally, after a spat with their mother, Bone and Soil had had enough with their treatment from the pack, and decided to run away. However, they've ended up the tundra and crossed paths with North, Robin, and Cub. The older wolves agree to train the twins before they would decide to set foot alone. However, through his training, Bone would come to appreciate hunting together with a pack.
Once the rest Rime arrived at the Tundra, Bone found himself once again under the torment of his mother. While his sister would decide that she had place in Rime anymore, Bone would grow close to his fellow hunters, and was resolved to remain with the pack. More than anyone else, Bone will miss his sister, dearly.
Lately, he's been showing attraction towards Spruce. But Spruce doesn't seem to return his feelings.
Things would soon get rough again for Bone. Because of his choice to join the Shards, he would have to go hunting with his mother. As a result, he would have continue being subjected to her criticism. On one particular, after a series of failures by the Shards to capture prey, Dawn would single Bone out for failing the hunt. Thoroughly fed up with his mother's treatment, Bone would call out his mother for everything she had done, including her treatment being the very reason for Soil leaving Rime. Enraged, Dawn would try to attack Bone, leaving scars on the side of his rear. However, Clay would intervene by fighting back against Dawn, only to get injured himself. This incident would lead to Dawn facing trial before the pack once again, perhaps facing the outcome of being banished from the pack. Meanwhile, with this prospect, the Shards were in desperate need of finisher, whose role was filled by Dawn. Bone hopes to carry on the role himself, as well as that Polar will make the right decision to keep him safe from his mother's wrath.
It was ultimately decided that Dawn would retire from hunting and spend the rest of her life as an elder, forbidden from leaving the den. Though initially upset that his mother would have to remain in the same pack as him, Bone would learn to accept Polar's decision, as he had gotten used to replacing his mother's role as prey finisher and is at least content with the fact that he can avoid her more easily, as she has no interesting in seeing him either.
Bone would later encounter the she-wolf, Hazelnut, while out on a hunting. Seeing that Hazelnut was hungry and desperate, Bone would encourage Polar to let her stay with their pack. Bone would then go on to make sure that Hazelnut was being taken care of and restored to good health. They would eventually fall in love and become mates.
