Ffynidwydden - often called Ffyn - is the third Blaenori of Pont-y-Rhedyn. Perpetually stuck as a young pup and graced with Faelcu traits, he keeps the valley clear of wisps by chasing them down and taking them back to the Faelcu realm. He's friendly, curious, and incredibly energetic. Like the wisps he herds, he's hard to pin down - he'll happily chat with those who manage to stop him, and may occassionally pause if he takes an interest in a particularly wolf or activity, but will quickly lose interest and race back off into the forest.

The pup is well known to the pack - he was born to the fifth leader Arianwen in the late summer of WD 19. Ffynidwydden was, along with his littermates, offered to the vengeful spirit to put it to rest. The ploy was successful - the spirit disappeared, and took most of the wisps with it. But the pups were taken too. It may have ended the flickering lights and disappearances that haunted the valley, but much of the pack thought the sacrifice to be egregiously callous. Struggling to reconcile with the loss of both standing with the pack and her pups, Arianwen stumbled through a few short weeks of strained leadership before passing in late autumn WD 19.

It was a shock to the pack, to then see a small green pup trotting through the forest several seasons later. Against all odds, Fynidwydden had returned. He had taken on somewhat of a more ghostly apperance, but he couldn't be mistaken for anyone else. At first the pack tried to bring him back in, but they found it impossible to hold onto him. If he didn't wander out on his own, he'd disappear into thin air. Despite the pack's grievances with how he'd been sacrificed, he himself didn't seem to be bothered by it - indeed, he seemed rather pleased with his life in the Faelcu realm. Though many still couldn't forgive Arianwen for what she did, they did at the very least make peace with it knowing that the pups were doing ok.

As happy as he was in the Faelcu realm, Ffyn loved the presentworld too. Thanks to his acquired Faelcu traits, he could safely interact with the wisps - so to protect his pack, he started to round up any stray wisps and chased them back. While portals to the Faelcu realm do periodically open up, and barrels of wisps descend on the presentworld, Cwm Tondau remains a safe haven thanks to Ffynidwydden's efforts. His quartz necklace was crafted for him by the sixth leader Breuddwyd, as a thank you gift for his hard work. He wears it proudly.
