Glancarw
Introduction
The eastern woodlands seem endless. It feels like you've been under the canopy for days, fighting through thick undergrowth with only faded dappled light for navigation. Your paws ache, and your fur is heavy with tangled twigs and thorns, but the drifting scent of a nearby river compels you to keep moving.
As you reach the crest of a hill, you realise that the drop on the other side is further than you anticipated. Though the slopes aren't particularly steep they reach far, creating a wide and deep valley. From your vantage point on the crest you can see that the thick forest continues into the vale, broken up intermittently with small clearings and meadows. A wide river runs its course through the centre of the trough, met with several winding streams which snake down from the mist-shrouded hills. Birdsong and the crashing of the river echoes through the trees uninterrupted.
There's no easy life for a wolf. But this tranquil little valley certainly offers a good one.
The ridge is heavily marked - this is clearly someone's territory. There's nothing here to ward away would-be trespassers though. No guards, no barriers, no flags. You press forward.
You follow the well-trodden animal trails through the thicket, dodging brambles and fallen branches as you descend deeper into the valley. Soon enough you stumble out of the underbrush into a flat clearing. There's a small group of wolves at its centre, watching as a pale wolf and a ruddy wolf snarl at each other and exchange disparaging remarks. A split-toned wolf on the outskirts of the circle nervously peeks over at you, flickering their gaze between you and the wolf beside them. Their companion hardly spares you a glance. Reluctantly the smaller wolf stands and slowly trudges over to you, head held low and ears pinned.
'Hello there, um… welcome to Glancarw. I'm Torlan, can I help you with something?'

Pack Lore
The Glancarw pack makes their home in Cwm Tondau, a small forested river valley in the east.
The pack was originally founded by Zente, who left his natal pack alongside Piroska with the intention of building up a pack which could rival it and take it down. They travelled north, recruiting Mauro, Braelyn, and Renegade along the way, before being forced to retreat back south by a particularly harsh winter. Soon enough they came across Cwm Tondau, a peaceful and largely uninhabited valley which at first glance seemed like an ideal safe haven.
Thinking that the handful of lone inhabitants wouldn't be an issue was Zente's first mistake. Torlan had settled in the valley a season prior with the intention to study it's ethereal inhabitants, and they really, really did not want Zente and his crew disturbing it. Inadvertently claiming the territory as theirs, they were forced to take on Zente's title challenge and by some miracle managed to defeat him. The rest of the pack did not want to leave the valley and decided to accept Torlan's leadership, much to Torlan's chagrin.
Another of the valley's inhabitants, Delta, was folded into the pack to avoid being chased off, and over the winter a handful of other passerbys chose to join.

Pack Wolves
Torlan is the pack's unwilling leader - They assumed the role after refusing to yield the territory and accidentally defeating Zente in a title challenge. They originally settled in the valley to study its ethereal occupants and honestly wants nothing to do with the pack but they won't leave and Torlan doesn't have the gall to chase them out. They're quiet, hold a generally pessimistic outlook, and are more interested in research than they are pack management, but at least they can keep their peers from running amok in the valley this way.
Zente is the self-appointed second in command. He originally formed the bulk of the pack and led them to Cwm Tondau, but fumbled the bag when challenging Torlan for the territory and the rest of the pack don't want to leave. He doesn't respect Torlan's leadership and no one else respects his. He's arrogant and self-centred, but he does have a vested interest in building up a healthy pack, and subsequently takes charge of leading the hunting team.
Piroska is the pack's guard and informal advisor. Hailing from the same natal pack as Zente, she accompanied him to keep him from getting killed. She's perhaps the only pack member with a solid grasp of the requirements of keeping a pack healthy and does a lot of work to steer them in the right direction. Sharp and strict, she's difficult to argue with.
Delta is the pack's herbalist. She had settled in the valley before the pack was formed, and joined only to not get booted from the territory. She's charismatic and easy to talk to, but she often gives the impression that she'd rather be left alone. She demands respect for her profession and will refuse care to those who are rude to her.
Mauro serves as one of the pack's hunters as a stalker. Coming from an incredibly troubled past, he's very upfront about his shortcomings and is actively working to improve himself. He often takes the role of mediator between pack members.
Braelyn serves as one of the pack's hunters as a chaser. Somewhat of a troublemaker, Braelyn previously ran with a gang and only joined the pack to see Zente stumble. She's incredibly vulgar and seemingly lacks any moral compass. Unfortunately she's incredibly talented as a hunter and the pack can't afford to shun her.
Arkaitz is a merchant who's taking refuge in the valley after inadvertently agitating another pack with a bad trade deal. Inexperienced in his work and appropriately obnoxious about it, he can be a little difficult to work with, but has nonetheless been invaluable in helping navigate relations with neighbouring packs and travellers.
Renegade is an oddity in the pack. Born and raised in human care, Ren isn't well versed in wolf sensibilities and she's extremely nervous about it. She's more than willing to learn, but thanks to her anxiety it's often one step forwards and two steps back. Typically she doesn't stray far from the central pack area, venturing out only when accompanying others. She does what she can to help around the dens.
Cal-i'thir is a wayward dreamlands native - He got displaced during an eclipse and was adopted into the pack while he finds his footing. Raised as an artisan, Cal is extremely enthused by the new materials and crafting techniques that the otherworld has to offer, and while he is looking for a way to return to the dreamlands, he seems content to settle in the valley and lend the pack his expertise for the time being.

Projects
I'm currently working on raising new NBW stat lines, with lore to go with them! I'm also breeding and R&C'ing some rare slot BO marks - at this time I'm working on S8: Zircon Inverted Panda, S4: Aspen Inverted Panda, S4: Silver Sallander, and S5: Cocoa Carnage. I'm previously worked on S4: Red Panda, which has since become stable.
