Barns always wants to help. Always. This could often annoy the rest of the pack, whilst they all appreciate help here and there, Barns would often get in trouble whilst helping or manage to get in the way. So when a tired Sid suggests he goes find a Dandelion to give to Sam he went hunting. It took a while, but eventually he found one and rushed proudly to give it to Sam.

After Sam's initial shock his face morphed into one of happiness, offering to show Barns how to make a cure. Since that day they became close with Sam becoming his mentor much to Sid's delight.
