Alfine Pack
After walking for several hours through thick forest you eventually stumble across a small clearing. Hesitantly you walk forwards, only to be abruptly stopped by large cream coloured wolf glaring down at you.
"What's your business here ?" They enquired. You paused for a second, unsure of how to answer intimidated by the wolf in front of you before stammering out,
"I.. I got lost. I'm not sure where here is. Sorry, I'll... I'll go." The tone of your voice saddens as you finish your sentence, lowering your head, moving to disappear back into the dense forest behind you. Until you hear a deep gruff sigh. Turning you see the other wolf had relaxed, now appearing far less intimidating and more like a old man whose tired of things around him.
"Follow me." He says, "My pack is not far from here, we're an... odd bunch. But you'll be able to rest with us for a while." He gestures with his head over his shoulder, motioning you to follow him, but you stay put.
"Will they allow me to stay for a while? How... how can I trust you?" You ask hesitantly, unsure of the intentions behind this wolf and what his pack would entail. He turns to look at you, eyes holding exhaustion.
"My name is Sid I'm the head scout here. If I bring you back none will complain. They trust my judgment, and I deem you no threat." He states as a small yawn slips past his lips before his expression turns to a crooked smile full of fondness. "Plus, we have a thing about picking up lost wolves."
You follow behind Sid for several minuets, before you start to hear the low hum of chatter and pups playing with one another. Another minuet pass before you follow Sid through some bushes that hid the pack and before you know it you are surrounded by other wolves. The adults were mostly welcoming back Sid, enquiring about his discoveries, some gave you a glance of acknowledgement, but not much more. The young pups were rapid firing questions from around your paws, whilst the elder pups either tried to pull then back, or just sat silently away. You were pulled out of your distracted thoughts by a young gentle voice that still managed to hold authority with in it. Glancing up you see the adults have ceased there conversation. Sid now sitting of to the side clearly being annoyed by a similar looking wolf covered in herbs. Infront of you stood the wolf that the voice belonged to, they weren't very big and lightly coloured with white fur lining there undersides.
"Welcome," they said in the same voice as before, "My name is Kai. I'm the leader here. Sid has informed us of what you have already told him. You are welcome to stay here as long as you need to. Our home is now yours too."
