Striking Fury
Sometimes young love doesn't last. That is what happened between Ripple and Tiger.

Tiger fell for the overly confident and bossy wolf quite fast. He found her abrasive qualities charming and admirable - he knows wolves can find him abrasive and challenging to be around, so he couldn't help but feel kin with her in a way. Ripple would command respect from those around her and Tiger would obey, following her around and doing as she pleased.

As time passed, however, and heads became cooler, Tiger found himself at a loss - he started to realize Ripple never did quite return his affections the same way. Did she even love him?

Before he could find an answer, a puppy between the volatile coupling was born.

Shortly after the puppy was born, Tiger couldn't take it any longer and confronted Ripple, admitting to her that he had fallen out of love with her. To his shock, Ripple didn't seem to care and even seemed a little relieved - she dismissed Tiger and pushed him further away.

Named after and by his father, the Storm's Strike - or just simply "Strike" to everyone else - is a puppy whose life started out quite rough. Witnessing at a very young age his parents falling out of love and his mother being very careless about the puppy, Strike grew up resentful of the other puppies in Dawnrise.

A cold puppy with quite a mean streak, Strike didn't make many - if any - friends. Many of the elder wolves were troubled by his behavior, worrying that Strike could grow up to hurt someone.

Eventually, Gold confronted Tiger and told him how poorly Strike's upbringing had been under Ripple's care. Tiger felt awful knowing he left his puppy so alone and decided to harden his heart over Ripple and confront the now-Adol pup.

Tiger began to take Strike on many of his treks to scout the perimeter of Dawnrise's territory. Many days and many nights the father and son spent alone together - and in that time Tiger realized just how badly hurt Strike was from his puppyhood. Tiger took his son's energy and taught him how to channel it in a better, more productive way for the pack - by protecting the territory from unknown animal threats.

As a full-grown young Adult now, Strike spends most of his days traveling along the outskirts of Dawnrise's territory, protecting the Pack - and looking for - any trouble. While it is sometimes unclear whether Strike acts with too heavy a paw towards intruders, it is undeniable that Dawnrise hasn't had to worry about many major threats since Strike began his patrols.

Still, Gold and Tiger do worry about Strike. Will the young wolf's heart ever open up to forgiveness?
