Strong Will
After Tuck and Grit bonded and Grit retired from the Traveler's Hunting party, they had (quietly) decided to adopt a puppy together.
In the crowd of puppies at the Bear's Enclave, one little grey wolf stood out amongst the rest to Grit. The little one reminded him so much of himself - both in looks and spirit - and so he decided to take it upon himself to adopt the little one, with his partner Tuck agreeing to the idea.
Grit had long since decided to quit Hunting - he was tired of all the pressure old man Slate put onto him and rediscovered a much quieter way of living with Tuck. He vowed to never treat this little one like Slate did to him - a wolf that looks like them doesn't need to act "tough" if they don't want to.
Gravel is the name Grit chose for the little one - he felt the name was representative of both adopted parents. The little stones that make up "gravel" in the world are used to pave roads, and Grit had hoped Gravel would follow his own path to a happy and healthy life.
Little did Grit realize that this little one might be okay with trying to become a tough and determined wolf in the pack. Perhaps this little one will do great things?
