Saffron was befriended by Pack Leader Vixen and brought into the Nightglow Pack. Once becoming a pack member, Saffron began pupsitting. He finds much joy in his role as a Pupsitter and, having no pups of his own, is the sitter for pups that have been adopted into the pack by trade and have no parents.
As the trade pups grew up, Saffron started pupsitting for some of the other pups in the pack, including Chamomile's. Chamomile would come to talk to him more often than any of the other parents did, and she soon revealed that she liked him. Over time, they courted, fell in love, and became mates.
