Coyle felt lost for the longest time. He wandered from a young age all over the world to search for a purpose, for a family. When he stumbled into malignant territory and encountered an evil pack, he noticed one pup that didn't seem to fit; a pure white female wolf with glowing yellow eyes. When she accepted his invitation to run away with him he was over the moon and back! Together the two set off across the globe to recruit wolves and build an army to defeat the dark forces at bay. Coyle became the pack's herbalist while Daewn protects the pack from anyone or anything that would wish them harm. Extremely dedicated to each other, Daewn and Coyle are life mates and refuse to be romantically involved with any other wolf.
But as time passed Coyle began to miss his mate more and more. Her ventures through their territory took longer in her old age, and each time he wondered if one day she wouldn't return. He cared for the numerous cuts and bruises she obtained fighting rival wolves and hunting for the pack, and soon it became too much to bear. They were growing old, they were dying, and soon they would lose each other. tIn order to make sure they stay together forever, the two studied the secrets of immortality. With Daewn's allegiance and knowledge of the lunar realms and the fae, and Coyle's intricate knowledge of the inner workings of potions and his overall mastery over medicine, they obtained everlasting life. It came at a cost, one that ate away at his beloved mate every day. They relocated to the mountains above their pack, watching over as guardian angels of a sort to keep Beastenguard from harm. Their mortal selves still lived in the pack, taking care of things that only the living could do. However, Coyle felt an unease he refused to share with his mate: what if their doppelgangers were too much like them? What if they too craved immortality and tried to take their peaceful life away? Coyle began studying dangerous concoctions that would help him control their alternate selves and keep them in line. While he sympathized with his shadow self he reminded himself that when the other him died his memories would be saved for eternity. Each time a mortal self passes they are absorbed into the original Daewn or Coyle. In a way they were saving these wolves and keeping them alive forever… right?
