Delta

Delta is a rather tall wolf, with an angular build and a thick coat. She has a distinctive scar on her left foreleg, on which she walks with a limp. She always wears a crow's foot earring on her left ear.

Delta was born to a traveller during a stopover in a small mountain pack. Not wanting to risk travelling with young pups but unwilling to stay for long, her mother left Delta and her siblings behind. The pack was a close knit familial group, and they were disinterested in raising a litter of strays, so they were largely left to themselves. Despite its small size the pack held a sizable territory - this was often a cause of conflict with neighbouring packs. It wasn't uncommon for the pack to be attacked, and Delta herself was victim to a mauling when she was young, resulting in a persistent leg injury which left her unable to take on physical training. She subsequently spent much of her time with the herbalist, and informally apprenticed under them.

As she grew into adulthood the attacks only became more frequent, soon escalating into full out war. The pack now demanded her services as a herbalist, but not feeling any charitability to the pack that hadn't cared to raise her, she instead chose to leave them to their ill-met fate. Following the river east she happened upon Cwm Tondau, a peaceful valley which was abundant in herbs and strangely uninhabited. Not one to turn down a blessing, Delta settled in the valley herself, alone and unbothered.

Despite her chosen self isolation, Delta is usually perceived as charming and charismatic. She refuses to let anyone close though, and remains inexpressive and hard to read. Her sharp eyes lend her a hard stare, and stare she does - it's unnerving. Paired with her tendency to whistle, she makes for a rather unsettling encounter to those who don't speak to her. She's extremely principled, and holds honour in high regard. If she doesn't consider a trade to be fair she will walk away from it, no matter how necessary her services may be.

Delta's voice is often compared to a purr, and she speaks in an eloquent manner.

Delta identifies as transgender (she/her) and pansexual. She does not currently have a pairbond.
