Neptune licked the blood off of the mouse, the warm flavor rich on his tongue. He waited for a few seconds, relishing the taste, before devouring the prey quickly.

She sat at the bank of the river next to Brackenleaf, staring down into the flowing water. Why has there been so much death? Could I have prevented them? She voiced her thoughts out loud in a quiet whisper to Brackenleaf.

"Of course not Wildstar, sometimes life happens and there's nothing you can do about it. Sometimes cats make decisions that you could never have changed. "Your right, thanks Brackenleaf. I know I haven't been the best leader lately and I apologize. But now my focus is on my clan as it always should have been." She meowed her voice much stronger and she lifted her chin, determination flashing in her eyes. She had let grief pull her down and away from her clan, though she will try as hard as she can to connect with her clanmates and be the leader that they deserve. It was time to let go.
