Autumn snorted, still walking. "We don't catch birds by trying to fly." She pointed out as the river came into view. She dipped a paw into the water, checking its temperature. It was cold and refreshing. She jumped into the water, paddling in place. The water streamed around her body. A school of carp was darting toward her, and Autumn grinned, tensing up. |

Nova paw grinned, feeling a bit sad in the kits behalf for its mother and sibling, she carefully pulled it a bit away from the cold body of its mother, grooming its fur up a bit, once it was nice and clean she picked it up, turning to look around. Lynx was searching for a scent at the moment, her tail flicking as she searched "found its mothers main scent, could see if it leads to the father" they said, earning a slight nod from the young she whom followed after them, keeping the kit as close to them as she could, Nova paw was trying to keep the poor scrap of fur from getting cold, probably gonna have to pause in a few moments to warm it up. "Carp coming." Autumn said, as the fish drew closer. She dove under the water, darting towards the group. The water streamed through her pelt, and it seemed to be water-proof. She hooked a fish, nipping it as the fish group separated, moving faster. The delicate flesh of the fish tore easily, and Autumn was careful when she tossed the carp onto the land, diving under for more. The current guided her, making her faster. The fish were faster now, flashing scales progressing toward Oakear. |

Autumn wrestled a particularly big fish, rolling over. She gave a muffled hiss as its tail slapped her face, and she threw it on the shore with difficulty. Autumn surfaced, dragging the fish away from the ocean and killing it. |

Ears flicking at their conversation, I stood, shaking out my coat as uneasiness settled in my stomach. "I believe it's time to head back to camp," I meowed. Unnamed Mewing as I was ripped away from my momma, a dry tongue lapping hastily at my coat, before I was lifted back into the air. Swinging from their jaws, I went limp. (Ty! Nova paws eyes kept a good eye out, when they got to the point where new scents had appeared, a flicker of excitement went through her, that HAD to be her clan! She stopped, gently setting the kit down, her tail slightly curling around it "can we stop for a moment? I wanna make sure the poor kit is warm and completely okay before we bring it anywhere that could possibly hurt it" she asked, the words didn't quite make sense, but she though the point was pretty clear. Lynx looked back again, unsure, but then they nodded, "here, you can cuddle it right there in that grass, but we should get going, it's probably really hungry" she replied nodding to her left. She watched Nova paw pick up the kit once more, padding over to the grass and setting it down, she gave it a look over, seemed okay.. had a bit of blood on its chest, but other then that, seemed pretty healthy to Lynx, whom patiently waited while her companion gave the kit a few more licks to make sure it was nice and clean, before curling around it a bit, seems Nova paw likes kits, unsurprisingly, cat probably would take it a fox kit. (Ever so welcome.) |
