Astrid was quiet as they walked at Solis's side. Soon they stopped and turned to check on everyone but found that Lovelace wasn't there. "Guys wait! Where did Lovelace go?" Panic filled their mind as he though of what could have happened to her, their mind making up horrible scenarios. They sniffed the air and picked her scent but also with something else. "Everyone go on. I will find her and bring her back. Just go." They started off towards her scent without another word.
" I think she was lagging behind, " He said, sniffing, catching a faint scent. He stopped, Looking at Astrid and the others " Well? Did anyone else see her? " He said in a slightly irritated tone. They were supposed to stay together, Mutt! He growled, ears twisting around to see if she was in earshot; nothing. Upon hearing Astrid's request he nodded " Howl..Or whatever you do when you find Lovelace, ight? " He said and then turned to the others. " You heard em' , Move out! " He ordered and continued on, eyes flicking to rock formation to rock formation. He could tell they were getting very close.
Lovelace sat down waiting for someone to notice that shes gone "hopefully someone notices that I'm gone ,oh I should've told someone about the scent instead of wondering off like an idiot". "This is how you die love if you keep wondering off like that". Lovelace said outloud while pawing at the dirt in a poor attempt to calm her nerves
Astrid could smell the scent of something dead and Lovelace's scent. They, for some reason, began to worry as they hadn't smelt it earlier. "Lovelace!" They called out the females name in hope that she would hear their voice and reply. 'Just please be safe.' They thought as they grew even closer.
Cannibal feels slight panic eating at his gut as he allows himself to follow the large wolf - Sol? Solis? - before he bows his head. He wishes that he could go to the den that he wanted.... That was where he met Wraith. Speaking of Wraith, the larger he-wolf looks over his shoulder and nods his head to his friend on his back before turning and eyeing the rest of the wolf-dogs. Frost's small but multi-legged body trots after the other animals as the yearling he-animal pants slightly.
Frost does not take his eyes off of Cannibal. The fox-furred male keeps his wary eyes on his blood-red friend. At the thought of blood, his mouth waters and he pants as they near the place. Or he at least hopes so.
Wraith had finally allowed himself to fall asleep but if seemed that he was having an unpleasant dream. He whined and kicked a little in his sleep. He nuzzled into Cannibals fur and seemed to calm after catching the other scent. He quieted and stopped moving around.
Lovelace perks up at the sound of Astrid's voice and trots to where she thinks she hears them. "Astrid I'm over here!" She called out hoping they would hear her. "Where are you?!" she could smell the odd scent getting closer. "hurry something else is around here!" she hoped Astrid would hear her
Astrid bolted towards the females voice and leaps out of a bush and to her side. "What is it?!?!" They turned around and guarded Lovelace, a new scent radiating off of them. The new scent was strong and threatening, full of protectiveness.
Solis sniffed again, the smell of Astrid becoming fainter. He slowed for a brief moment before picking up speed again, he didn't need to worry, if there was danger, one of them would howl..or bark..or whatever sound they made. He looked around again, something catching his eye. The male stopped, they had arrived. " Here. " he stated and walked over. It was a rock outcropping, 6 feet tall with a dark opening off to the left. He sniffed cautiously before walking forward. He strode up to the opening, which was covered by vines. Using his nose to part the foliage he looked inside. as streaks of sunlight lit the dark space, he took in it's characteristics. It was quite large, able to fit multiple canines inside.As he looked around, his entire head now in it, he saw another, darker figure inside. Shifting himself, light hit it. It was a tunnel. " Hey! You wont believe it! " He said and leaped out, ears perked and eyes wide.
