[Custom Decor] Custom Decor System Needs Reform

Rejections can be frustrating especially when they are often inconsistent, but with more clear & concise rules and tutorials available, as well as the team being improved with your oversight over the next several months, hopefully we can all save time and frustration in the long run. Most importantly, please do not feel rushed or pressured in any aspect of this process. I can't speak for everyone but I think most of us can agree that good things take time. I know you and your team are just people, not robots, and there is a massive workload on you all. You can only go one step at a time and that's okay! We will be very happy knowing that things are being worked on even if it takes time to reap the seeds that are sown. |

Fuck this bullshit. I don't have the fucking patience to wait 2 weeks between every single fucking rejection, just to get MORE unhelpful criticism. Sure I guess the lineart isn't too thick anymore. Yet they're still complaining that "it's too pixelated", but also now both the lineart and the edges between each color are too pixelated. If the edges of the color areas were ALSO problematic, why didn't you fucking say so THE FIRST TIME, SO I COULD'VE MADE AN ATTEMPT TO FIX IT, THE FIRST FUCKING TIME?! And now my shading is "too subtle" all together, even though it was just the shading on the non-white parts that was "too subtle" the first time. How much darker do you want the shaded parts to be so they're no longer "too subtle"? Or do you want me to redo the shading all together, or something? Tell me what you fucking want, I physically and mentally CANNOT work with such vague critiques and instructions, I need you to tell me EXACTLY what you want, THE FIRST FUCKING TIME. Can you tell I'm seriously fucking pissed to just get more extremely unhelpful criticism, when there's a two week period between each rejection, even more so after all the stuff that was said in this thread, in-between each of my rejections? I fucking get it. The team that handle CDs is small, and there are a lot of CDs every week that need to be reviewed. And whenever you have to reject a CD, that's more CDs that you'll have to try and review next week, on top of whatever CDs get submitted throughout that next week. So getting through each submission, and each redo of each previously rejection submission, must take ages to complete. But you know, I wouldn't be so pissed about having to wait so damn long, if the critiques I got after the long wait was actually more helpful, and/or I had some means of directly asking for clarifications WHILE I try to fix the issues. It would be a lot less frustrating if CD creators could actually ASK the CD team questions directly, instead of having to wait two weeks between each submission attempt to get any kind of response. Hell, maybe it could make your jobs even easier, as you'd be able to work with a creator until their CD is satisfactory, and then once they submit the changes, BOOM, after the edit timer's up, you can approve it right then and there, and that's one less submission you'd have to deal with, the following week. |

Back when I first started playing, it could take 3 months. End of last year it was around a month. A month ago, mercurie and I waited 3 weeks for a rejection on one of ours. 2 weeks is a vast improvement over the historical waiting time, but due to the lack of clarity with the process it is certainly still frustrating, especially when new issues seem to pop up out of nowhere with each rejection. |
