The Night of No Stars pack is bound together by fierce loyalty and an unbreaking bond between every member. Every breath, every hunt, every step, is all for the greater good of the clan, not one individual. Every wolf has to follow a code laid down by their ancestors.
1. Defend your Pack, even with your life. You may have friendships with wolves from the other Packs, but your loyalty must remain to your Pack, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Pack's territory.
3. Elders and pups must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarPack for its life.
5. A pup must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their
warrior name.
7. A wolf cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen
before moonhigh.
10. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing wolves.
11. No warrior may neglect a pup in pain or in danger, even if that pup is from a different Pack.
12. The word of the Pack leader is the warrior code.
13. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other wolves to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
14. A warrior rejects the soft life of a pet.
These ancient rules have been the foundations of pack life and are expected to be followed. The inability to follow the code can result in moderate to severe punishments such as, but not limited to, caring for the elders, apprentice duties, or even being chased from the pack. As long as the warrior code is upheld, there is no limit to the good that a pack can do.
The Night of No Stars pack believes in Starpack and the Dark Forest. The pack imagines these two afterlives as two "figures." Starpack resembles a well groomed wolf with stars dotted in their pelt. The Dark Forest resembles a messy wolf with fleas hopping around their fur. When a wolf passes away, they ascend to the "Judgmental Plane" where Starpack and The Dark Forest look over their life and decide which afterlife they will live. Wolves who have done more good go to Starpack and wolves who have done more bad go to The Dark Forest.
