Drómos Pnévmatos
Welcome to Drómos Pnévmatos!
The Pack
The ancient Greeks traditionally honored their dead through gifts, offering food, games, jewelry, and more, to help them in the afterlife so they don't feel alone. Drómos Pnévmatos honors the dead with their own offerings; those which hang on the boughs of the great Elm. Each meal given to the pack's vessels also has a portion given to the souls.
Melinoe herself carries them to the underworld at night in spirit form. Their physical manifestations are left behind, but she knows what has and has not been taken.
The Elm
The Elm is an imposing, tall tree with large dens dug into its roots and offerings weaved into its branches. The whole area has this eerie feeling of being watched. almost as if the forest itself is watching you. The odd, deathly quiet is broken only by the mysterious Elm's gentle rattling of its items. The pack is seen guarding it at all hours. During the day, a few of the pack's members leave their vessels behind in the roots. The rest act as a daytime guard. The fearsome wolves that live here sometimes allow wolves to leave offerings at the edge of the territory, or catch glimpses of the tree... but just as many are taken by the pack.

Venture Closer...
Very few have seen the Great Elm, and those who do rarely return, or find themselves plagued with nightmares for a great time afterwards. One of the wolves who has returned actually managed to see the resting bodies of the pack below the elm before being chased off. The bodies were more than resting, he described, they all appeared to be dead.
Despite the evidence of a tragedy, Drómos Pnévmatos is definitely home to a pack: they are heard during the night, and a few have met the Oneroi - in their various forms. The Oneroi have even appeared in dreams of the nearby packs, taking the form of the tree and warning them of the place.
The nearby packs often see the place as a shrine to the dead: a place that is haunted, a place that is to be respected, at the cost of their life. The howls must be ghosts, and the few they do meet within the area are the caretakers of such a place. Or, more horrifyingly, sometimes the ghosts of loved ones themselves.
There have been a few who venture closer, and if they're careful, they may be able to escape alive...
But will you?
