Rough, tough, strong and mean, Buyan followed Symone back home after the two had a long snarling contest. Buyan decided that she 'liked the way Symone scowls', and kept flirting with her on the way to the mountains. Oddly, she wasn't displeased at all to see that the lead wolf was taken and her mate is a huffy pale hunter, or that they had two young pups. If anything, she told the lead she has good taste, and barked happily that the Stonefangs were doing so well before she showed up.

Despite how respected she already is by her new pack, Buyan felt rather small in asking the hunting party for a temporal leave to birth and nurse a litter safely, and even smaller still asking Gwynnliol to sire them as the breeding male. She seemed very worried that he'd deny her, knowing how close he is to his partner, but Symone stood by her as did the hunters, reassuring her that it is her right to have puppies if she wanted them, and that Gwynn was the breeding male for a reason.
What made her feel the most at ease was Tern speaking up that she would take Buyan's place in the hunting party for as long as she needed to rest. With Hatua now acting as a Scout until her pups were born, Tern would be free to help cover for her and ensure neither she or anyone went hungry.

The puppies have arrived at dusk, three little girls that are all healthy and delivered safely. Buyan, though exhausted, is very happy with her litter, as is the rest of the Stonefangs.

It's hard to stay positive in a world where packs look for specific traits or strong pups, but the then only nick-named 'Ruddy', now properly named Colibrí, had her hopes rewarded the day Symone visited Mother Bear's enclave, and zoned in on the unasuming and barely weaned puppy.
Buyan has been dealing with her empty nest since her triplets finally became adults, and Tern - while indiferent towards having children of her own or not - did not know how to comfort the poor mother. They ushered the girl right to Buyan's side almost as soon as Symone had introduced her to the pack.
Irena, Misam and Cujam might be glad to have a break from their mother now that she has a new little one to fend for, but just as much Buyan is glad to have a puppy to pour all that maternal love that she missed putting to good use. Make no mistake, however. Those three rascals
are getting their ears groomed and their hunts celebrated regardless!
