Born with a striking pelt colour, Irena's always been flaunting around the other wolves her age how she had been blessed to be beautiful, and ergo better than her peers. However a snap from the older wolves is enough to silence her peacocking. This is very slowly helping her learn that if you are to survive in a pack, holding yourself in higher regard to the rest of your packmates likely isn't the way to go about it. Maybe this is why she's growled out of Lodestar's Glint when Cujam's allowed in there... Maybe she wouldn't fight so much with Misam if she was in the Glint rather than the Basin. One night, she tried to sleep in the First home, but as soon as she piped up Buyan chased her right out, chastising her harshly about acting in such a way in front of her very superiors - not to mention Colibrí, her new adopted sister, though there might be a good reason why she never speaks of the pup. Perhaps on at least that, she does know better.

The arrival of new wolves at first was exciting, new people to flaunt to, to gain praise from! Or to feel threatened by. But Céfiro barely even notices her (whenever she's allowed to speak to him as he recovers), and Casias was less than snappy when she tried to impress him. Lastly, Willamenah all but politely excuses himself from her presence, choosing instead to speak to plainer wolves. None of this did Irena take well.

Gwynnliol didn't think Irena would ever approach him without demands or pup-like protests, much less crying. He isn't even the lead of the pack to bring grievances to, but he soon found out why Irena came sniffling to him instead of Symone or her own mother. Both the lead and Buyan have been incredibly stern with her - rightly so - and Irena feared that her troubles would be dismissed brutally like all her peacocking had been. She needed something softer. She needed comfort.

He had never been a father to her, such had been the arrangement, but Gwynnliol felt pain when the young hunter's lip quivered when she asked if everyone hated her, if she was less than, or if she was just... Ugly. She felt ugly. And that she had nothing else to offer. She felt stupid just admitting that, she'd be shooed away for sure, but instead the older wolf licked behind her ears and curled his neck over her shoulder. "No, you're not ugly, or less than. It's one thing to dicipline you into a proper Stonefang, and another to hate you. No one hates you." He took her to Methuselah after licking her face free of dirt and tears.

Now with a pretty crown of arnica flowers to match her father's, Irena feels... Better. Lighter. Her tail wags whenever Colibrí tells her how well it looks on her, or when Tern and Buyan call her 'flower princess' endearingly. Irena doesn't need to boast so much about herself anymore.

The Flower Princess' kingdom faces peril, and she must rise to the challenge. The terrible natural forces that shake the world have shifted the pack, and now Tern has been called upon to scout and survey the land alongside Alkaid - leaving an empty spot in the main hunting party. Much to her terror, Buyan and Tern immediately suggested Irena to replace them, and what's worse, Symone accepted. The encouraging words of her pack do little to assauge her, but a Princess rises to the challenge - no matter how big the pawprints she must fill.
