Zhiyuan-I

Zhiyuan-I (易致远, pronounced: yì zhīyuán) had never dreamed of being a chaser. As a pup, she always imagined herself searching for herbs and following the tracks of prey instead, leading her packmates to health and food. But her parents had been great chasers, and even as a young pup, they recognized that she would be too — she was as swift as the wind and faster than all the songbirds and hares that she chased. Her destiny as a chaser was decided as soon as she started her training.

But Zhiyuan found other ways to lead. When Yaya and Erhyi fought, she held them together. When the rumors started spreading about Yaya's childhood, she foresaw only trouble if they stayed by the Aostral Pillars, and she led the three of them to the Nemorei Upland. And she remained by Erhyi's side when her friend became the leader of the pack, as a voice of reason. In the end she was a chaser, but she was a leader, too.

Zhiyuan's brow furrowed in concentration as she worked on guessing which herbs placed before her were poisonous and which were not. Loki watched with interest.

Calypso invited a few experienced members of the pack to find the class. Everyone had to prove their hiding techniques to the adults, and Zhiyuan endured well in two rounds and ended up the last to be found in the last round.
