Shortgrass Prairie
It takes a while before you encounter a wolf. Her pelt is golden, and with the tall grass you hardly see her until you're only a few branch-lengths away. You exchange news; she tells you how humans have been spotted more often than before.The wind blows harder and the grass waves furiously. She guides you west, where a short ridge of hills provides shelter. One hill she calls Watcher's Point, almost devoutly. After a short rest, she trots off, and you are free to proceed.
