Hollow Hollows X WolfClaw Shifters

The young woman jumped as a voice intruded her thoughts, unsure of how exactly to reply she began to rub the dirt off her fingers and knees. Mavis's head shot up at the sound of Jewel nearing, springing to her feet when she realized how unsteady she looked. "What happened, Jewel? Are you hurt?" She asked, voice laced in concern as she looked over her lean figure.

The feline shook her head before shifting back to human form so she coudl explain better

" Mavis.. does being attacked and at gun point sound like a reason to want to leave now? my ex... he was there and he saw me...He got me... but it was just a little graze" 

She lifted her leg and showed Mavis the little graze " But ill be fine. I just... I wont be able to stay much longer. I have to move on. he prolly knows where I live now.  Here obviously. I dont want him to look and find you too. "

"Let's just get you inside and make sure that's cleaned up." Mavis sighed, trying to coax her inside. "You do realized that you're safe here, right? No one bothers be unless they need something for their health and besides, I can hide you. There's a small crawl space under my house that you could hide in if we really needed it." 

Jewel sighed as she walked back in " He threatened me, Mavis... he threatened to kill me the next time he saw me...I.. i cant go back out there again" Jewel  sniffled  and sat down to let Mavis help her with her leg " Its no trouble, Mavis.. its just a  graze. Not like that first time you saw me."

Mavis's gaze fell slightly, shaking away the thought of a man threatening Jewel at gun point. "Then just stay here, you'll be found faster if you try to go back to the woods." She muttered, fingers gently pushing a few hairs from the small wound. "You should still treat everything, infections are no joke." She began to clean the faint graze.

" its just a gun graze, Mavis... " Jewel argued. But she knew that she wouldnt win the argument. She just let Mavis do what needed to be done " Hes gonna look for me  no matter what"

Her argument was met with a stern look from Mavis, continuing on as expected. "If he's going to look for you either way, then he'll keep looking whether you're here or half way across the world, but if he rules out this town, then he'll stop looking here." She tried reasoning as she pulled away from her limb, finished with her care.

" I have to get out of here, Mavis... its too dangerous. And if he sees me with you... hes likely to kill you and me.. Jewel said pacing back and forth "  I have to be more careful...hunting season is jsut beginning so... I guess ill just have to stay here til thats over before I make any plans."

Mavis's head fell at her words, reluctantly acknowledging the truth they held as she gathered up the materials she has been using. "If there's really no way I can convince you that it's safe here, then okay. Just please promise me you'll be safe." She pleaded, hating the idea of loosing the only other shifter she met.

Jewel bit her lip "  Mavis.. I'll be fine. Ill visit every now and then.  or ill write letters to  keep you updated. "

Jewel released the breath she was holding and walked to the door " I will never forget your kindness, Mavis. I really appreciate everything you have done for me." A tear fell on to her cheek and she wiped it away.
