Hollow Hollows X WolfClaw Shifters

Mavis quietly returned home, pausing on the way to reset the triggered trap. Certainly whomever she had encountered would recall where the trap was and not step in it again. With a small sigh, she retired to her cabin, this time beginning work on a thick salve for the feline, on the off chance that they would encounter each other again and she'd finally be allowed to help. She hummed a faint tune as she worked, letting the notes fill the spacious room.

As she ground her ingredients into a fine paste, her mind began to wander; pondering why exactly there was a talking cheetah in the middle of the forest. A logical explanation would've been an illegal pet that was released or escaped, but the fact that she spoke continued to throw her off as she was unable to connect the few dots.

A while after Mavis had finished her task at hand, she decided to venture out once again. Perhaps if she was lucky, she would go far enough away that she could enjoy an hour or two in her shifted form before the sun could set. Although the idea of shifting anywhere near the feline from earlier made her rather uncomfortable. Placing the small container in the woven basket, she started out once more, enjoying the somewhat peaceful air.

She froze as she heard the familiar whine, cringing at the pathetic noise. "Hello? Is anyone there?" She called, offering the owner of the sound plenty of time to leave if they didn't want to encounter her once again.

Jewel never said a word. for she was out cold from the poison spreading  quickly. She was alive, but barely. She had her eyes open in case she  felt movement. " H..help" she said weakly " I dont have.. much... time" 

Mavis had almost moved on, sighing when she didn't originally receive a reply. The weak plea easily reached her ears, causing her to timidly make her way towards the voice. A frown tugged at her lips at the sad site, quickly kneeling down next to the feline. She cautiously lifted the injured limb off the ground, tenderly inspecting the wound. "I told you so." She muttered, retrieving the glass jar from her basket and layering the exposed flesh in a fine layer of the paste. Pressing her clean fingers to her nose, she groaned at the warmth she found. "You have a fever.. I'm going to bring you back to my place, I can take care of you better there." She announced softly.

Jewel gave a purr as the salve touched her leg " as long as i dont try and kill ..you. I ...havent.. eaten for days." she said weakly trying to doze off but couldnt. She slowly stood up and waited.

"Come on then, we can take care of food later." Mavis offered a small smile as she began to walk, staying close enough that if she swayed too much, she could help the lean cat. "If it gets too hard to walk, I can try to take you the rest of the way."

" N..no.. i can walk. I just need rest and food. I swear that trap was normal..." she said limping alongside Mavis " the  names is Jewel." Jewel said looking at her with a very tired and weak smile before looking away..  " but I guess im wrong"

"I'm Mavis. Nice to meet you, Jewel." She nodded, her gaze softening further at the exhausted expression Jewel gave her. The slow pace was almost relaxing, Mavis continuing to guide the injured stranger until they finally arrived at her wooden cabin.
