"Jewel, you know you really can't just go after some random hunter, right? I understand you got hurt, but it's not their fault. Plus you don't even know which hunter placed that trap. There must be a couple hundred in the area. Furthermore, you're a cheetah for christ's sake." Mavis frowned, tempted to offer Jewel a gentle stroke near her shoulders, but to timid to upset her.

Her already soft expression softened further as they made eye contact, sighing heavily. "Just.. stay here for a while, maybe? Rest up and stay safe, let me take care of you, please."

Jewel relaxed her body and let her touch her on the shoulder " Fine. But I do have a good sense of smell. I can smell anything miles away. "

She slowly layed on her side and just looked at Mavis in the eyes to tell her she wasnt in any harm.  and then she just  lost consciousness and fell asleep. And to her surprise, the nightmare didnt come back. 

Mavis rubbed the feline's shoulder with a light hand as she nodded off once more, gently trailing her blunt nails through the short fur. Jewel looked rather peaceful while she was asleep, an almost amusing difference between now and their first encounter. She remained stated on the bed, leaning backwards until her back pressed up against the wall as she glanced down at her house guest.

Jewel was purring slightly as if she was happy for being cared for. She stayed asleep for another four hours before slowly opening her eyes and yawned and jumped off the bed and stretched her long lean body. Her belly reached the floor all the way down.  Soon after, her stomach growled angrily in protests for not being fed for three days. 

" Hey, Mavis.. any food around here... im starving to death here" She teased as she nuzzled her gently to wake her up.

Mavis groaned as she stirred, cracking an eye open at the other. "I could cook something.. I hope you're not a picky eater." She smiled, stretching her arms above her head before hauling her body out of the bed. A drowsy yawn left her mouth as she sauntered towards the mini kitchen.

"I have lamb chops, if you'll eat that. Otherwise I could go into town and pick something up." She offered as she gazed into her refrigerator, nudging a few items about as she looked through her food selection.

" As long as I get to eat something, I should be fine. I can go without food for a short period, but then I get angry and on kill mode if I dont eat. " Jewel said yawning again as she followed behind her and got into the corner 

"Oh-.. Well that sounds nice." She chuckled awkwardly, pulling out some food items. Mavis quietly began to prepare the food, once again starting the wood stove as she started to make a meal for the two of them.

" I didnt mean to scare you" Jewel said looking at her "im sorry" She sniffed the air as the stove cooked for them

Mavis gently shook her head, offering an awkward smile as she gazed at the pan, attempting to ignore the vague nervousness that formed at the explanation. "No, don't worry about it. You just kind of caught be off guard with that." She chuckled bashfully, listening to the soft sizzle as the meat cooked.

Jewel glared at the stove but then looked away " ill just get some fresh air.. I wont go far. ill just be around here."

She said going out the of the kitchen and headed for the door. But it was closed so she couldnt get out "could you?" she asked
